“Don’t Confuse Life with Making a Living.” -Denzel Washington

I was watching a YouTube Clip showing the best inspirational speeches of 2021 and there was an interview with Denzel Washington.  “Don’t confuse Life with making a living,” he said with a certain steadfast resonance that we have come to expect from Denzel. 

 How many of us have lost sight of Life while we made a living, focusing countless hours on our profession but losing sight of what, and more importantly, who we are working for.

 When ranking your priorities, Self, Spouse/Partner, Family, Friends, Career, what ranks highest?  Where do you rank?  The old adage that no one says they wish they had worked more when on their deathbed is accurate.  Advice to myself-Take stock in what and who you have.
